"The wind and frost of heaven and earth are gone, and the universe is filled with harmony." As the Renyin Year of the Tiger approaches, Huatai Yongchuang (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. has been receiving a steady stream of good news. On January 26, 2022, Huatai officially signed an EPC contract with Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company for a 2.2 MTPA heat recovery coke oven project. This marks the seventh contract signed between the two parties and the first project secured following Huatai’s upgrade to Class-A qualifications, achieving a "stellar start" to the new year.

Since 2017, Huatai has consistently adhered to the philosophy of “combining strengths of partners, pursuing mutual benefit and win-win outcomes, and building a shared future”, and has successfully collaborated with Hua Phat companies on six occasions, i.e. the Hua Phat Dung Quat Phase I 130 t/h CDQ project, the Hua Phat Dung Quat Phase II 130 t/h CDQ project, the Hua Phat Energy 105 t/h CDQ and waste heat power generation project, the Hua Phat Energy 0.2 MTPA coke oven project, the Hua Phat Dung Quat 0.5 MTPA coke oven project, and the Hua Phat Dung Quat 80 t/h CDQ project. Of these, the first four projects have successfully passed final acceptance, while the latter two are currently underway.

Chairman Xu Lie attached great importance to this project and personally participated in multiple rounds of negotiations with the client’s Chairman Xu Junyang, Executive Vice President Wang Yuling, and others; General Manager Han Dong personally led the design institute in organizing discussions on the technical proposal; and Vice President Dong Xinghong witnessed the signing via video conference from Beijing.

Li Fuquan, Regional Representative for Vietnam and Head of the Project Management Department; Yin Wenbao, Chief Engineer of the Design and Research Institute; Sun Xingsheng, Director of the Design and Research Institute; Wang Baoke, Project Manager; Du Yukui and Chen Yonghao from the Vietnam 0.5 MTPA Coke Oven Project Department; Zhang Lanyu from the Marketing Department; and others, formed the group of “most admirable frontline workers” who unhesitatingly “set out” for the Vietnam site in the face of the severe pandemic, engaging in nearly a year of in-depth exchanges and negotiations. Meanwhile, staff from various departments back in China participated and assisted by providing remote support and services related to the project. The successful signing of this project is not only the highest tribute to Huatai team’s spirit of fearlessly facing hardships, forging ahead bravely, and persevering tenaciously, but also the greatest recognition and trust in Huatai’s capabilities from the Vietnamese client, Hua Phat!

Hua Phat expressed its strong eagerness to further enhance pragmatic cooperation with Huatai and has announced that Huatai has been awarded the contract for the 2×160 t/h CDQ project supporting the coke oven, with negotiations for the corresponding commercial contract currently underway in full swing.

Over the past five years, Huatai has placed a high priority on expanding and maintaining its presence in international markets.
