At 4:28 p.m. on December 20, the 170 t/h coke dry quenching project at Wangzhuang Pig Iron Co., Ltd. in Jiaokou County, for which our company served as the EPC contractor, successfully generated power and connected to the grid on its first attempt.

Through the joint efforts of the entire project team, the installation team, the commissioning team and equipment manufacturers, and with the strong support of the client and the supervisor, all relevant parties overcame severe cold weather and worked around the clock for two days to achieve successful power generation and grid connection of this CDQ power generation project.

During the construction of this power generation project, the mountainous terrain posed significant challenges. From the initial manual excavation of piles, through the construction of the plant, to the final installation of the steam turbine, the construction team worked closely with the project team to repeatedly verify installation plans, ensuring safety and reliability. From the start of turbine rotation to grid connection, and from mechanical to electrical testing, the project activities were largely successful on the first attempt, demonstrating Huatai’s superior technical expertise and capabilities.

The client placed great importance on the power generation project, with the General Manager and Project Manager of Wangzhuang overseeing operations on-site. As the signal confirming successful grid connection was transmitted, enthusiastic applause erupted and lingered like rolling waves. The transmission of this signal marked the beginning of Huatai’s power generation operation and maintenance (O&M) services for the client. Huatai will continue to work closely with Wangzhuang in the area of O&M to achieve mutual benefit and shared success!
